ARTIST STATEMENT – JAI SOL

My art is born from transformation. After years of personal struggle and spiritual awakening, I found a way to turn pain into purpose through creativity. I use photography, painting, digital tools, and mixed media to create layered works that tell stories of identity, culture, and the unseen forces that shape us.

Rooted in my experience as a British-born Indian and inspired by spirituality, emotion, and human connection, my work bridges traditional craft with modern technology. Each piece is both a reflection and an invitation — a call to reconnect with creativity, see beauty in all things, and remember that life itself is art.

Collaborating with creatives worldwide.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to meet and work with some of the most talented creatives across the globe. Through travel, shared meals, deep conversations, and creative exploration, I’ve collaborated with artists who are true masters of their craft. These experiences have shaped my ideas, inspired my work, and given me the confidence to pursue my vision. Highlights include experiencing time with Vikram Nayak, Rameshwar Bruta, Devansh Javeri, Prabhat Jha & Arun Titan.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JOURNEY SO FAR

I invite you to take a leap of faith and explore my world—not just to know me, but to understand how human imagination and the innate desire to create can become the most freeing resource in your life. Here are some highlights from my journey so far.

Opening a Private

Gallery in Soho,

London

Together with my business partner Kieran, we opened a private art gallery in the heart of Soho, one of the most vibrant and creatively charged areas in London. From the very first week, the experience was electric. We hosted private viewings with some of the most fascinating people I’ve ever met — from actors and musicians to athletes, entrepreneurs, and inventors. The serendipity of Soho meant that world-class creatives and thinkers were constantly passing through, and the conversations, opportunities, and support that followed were unforgettable. Coming from a small town in the north of England to be presenting my work on such a visible stage to a global audience was magical.

Art Projection to a global audiance of 3 billion people at Wembley Stadium.

I was deeply honoured to have my artwork featured as the visual backdrop for a historic event hosted by the Prime Ministers of India and the UK at Wembley Stadium. A piece I had created while travelling by train in India was later animated and projected on the stadium’s giant screen before a live audience of 60,000 and a global TV viewership of over 2 billion. Created during a personally difficult time, the work’s journey from solitude to the world stage reminded me of art’s power to transcend struggle and connect people across cultures.

Mentored by Masters

of Art in South Asia.

Over 15 years of travel across South Asia, I was incredibly fortunate to meet over 50 master artists, painters, sculptors, and designers, often through moments of pure serendipity. Many of them were leaders in their fields, deeply respected by their peers, yet always generous with their time and wisdom. As a digital artist, these encounters offered me a powerful and humbling perspective: that art is not defined by medium, but by intention, truth, and spirit. I had the rare privilege of spending time in their studios and homes, sharing conversations and witnessing their process up close. These experiences profoundly shaped my own path. Among those who impacted me most were Vikram Nayak in Delhi, his mentor Rameshwar Brutha, one of the most important contemporary Indian artists and the enigmatic Yeshe, whose devotional artworks appear in countless spiritual texts and Hare Krishna publications around the world. To have shared time and space with them remains one of the great honours of my life.

My home studio & Gallery in Manchester.

Manchester has always held a special place in my journey, a city that embraced my art for over a decade through exhibitions, fairs, and support from its incredible people. After years of dreaming, a chance encounter at a charity event changed everything. On that magical evening I met two extraordinary people who gifted me the opportunity to open my own gallery. That gallery, set on a four-acre farmhouse, became a creative sanctuary. For four years, it served as my studio and a space where I showcased art, hosted intimate gatherings, and collaborated with musicians, writers, and fellow artists. Despite the challenges of COVID, it remained a place of beauty, community, and artistic growth,  a dream realised through synchronicity and grace.

Projecting art and Hosting Talk at the Southbank

Theatre London - Alchemy Festival .

One of the most memorable moments of my career came through a creative partnership with the brilliant musician Shammi Pithia. Over many years, we developed a deep friendship — I designed his album covers, documented his journey, and supported his work in every way I could, while he inspired and supported me in return. That collaboration led to an unforgettable invitation to join him at the world-renowned Alchemy Festival at London’s Southbank Centre. I was asked to present the artwork for his album live on stage, speak to an audience of 3,000, take part in a Q&A, and sign autographs. It was a surreal, beautiful experience — a celebration of friendship, art, and music at one of the UK’s most iconic cultural venues.

VRINDAVAN copy.jpg

Founding an Art Education Project

in India.

Early in my career, I felt a deep calling to give back, particularly to children in India facing hardship. After connecting with members of ISKCON and being invited to teach in Vrindavan, I launched a small foundation dedicated to sharing art in orphanages, schools, and on the streets across several regions. For three years, I taught independently — an experience that profoundly humbled me and opened my eyes to the challenges so many face due to circumstances far beyond their control. Though the project struggled due to limited resources, it remains close to my heart and is something I hope to rebuild in the years ahead.

Resident Artist &

Exhibitor for the Royals,

@Princes Gala dinners.

Over a six-year period, I had the honour of serving as a resident artist for The Prince’s Trust and the British Asian Trust. I was invited to exhibit my work alongside members of the British Royal Family in intimate settings across London, Manchester, and even within palace grounds. Across eight unforgettable events, my artworks helped raise funds for meaningful causes. More than that, these experiences introduced me to remarkable individuals in business, art, and society — connections that deeply impacted my journey and continue to inspire future collaborations.

Meeting, living and learning from ancient ash baba's. monks and

shamen - inspiring Bluemehndi Art

In my many journeys through India, I was honoured with rare invitations to live among ancient communities of Babas and Gurus, dwelling in their sacred environments. Each encounter was profound, whether living in mountain caves, witnessing moments of pure magic in the Himalayas, sitting by the sacred fires and forests of the South, or experiencing the burning Ghats of Varanasi. For reasons beyond explanation, they felt a connection to my energy and welcomed me into their rituals, allowing me to glimpse and partake in the unseen world they inhabit. Though time and distance have passed, I sense I have never truly left them—for in many ways, they remain with me still.

RESTLESS BEINGS copy 2.jpg

Art for the Launch of Restless Beings.

One of the earliest and most meaningful commissions of my career came from the humanitarian charity Restless Beings. At the time, I was still finding my voice as an artist, with raw skills and little direction, but was gaining visibility within London’s South Asian creative scene. The founders approached me with sincerity and trust, asking me to create artworks that reflected their mission and values. I created three pieces, including one based on the true story of a young girl a deeply emotional and challenging artwork that pushed me beyond technique into pure empathy. The work was unveiled at the charity’s launch event in Shoreditch and still hangs in their office today. It was a pivotal moment that showed me the power of art to support real-world causes and create lasting impact.

BEHIND SIGHT.. copy.jpg

Head Artist and Set Designer for Movie Project in Nepal, India - search for Bhuddha

I was invited by world-renowned Bollywood music producer Sandesh Shandilya to collaborate on an international musical and film project titled A Search for Buddha — a profound and visionary work inspired by the life of Buddha. The production brought together 25 leading musicians and creatives from around the globe and was in development for a major cinematic release, with none other than Peter Jackson attached as director. I was flown to India to join the creative team and contribute visual concepts that could bring the spiritual and emotional depth of the story to life. Over six months, I developed a series of artworks that captured the essence of the narrative — blending traditional symbolism with contemporary visual storytelling. The response was overwhelming, with the work featured on the front page of India Times and across several major Indian newspapers. It was one of the most humbling and expansive moments of my career — to contribute to such a meaningful project at an international level, and to work alongside some of the world’s most respected creative minds.

COLLEENA.png

Art Designer & Publisher of a Classical Dance Book in India.

While in Pushkar, Rajasthan, I was introduced to the mesmerising world of Odissi — one of India’s oldest classical dance forms — through the incredible Coleena Shakti and her dance school. Women from across the globe came to study this sacred art, and I was captivated by its depth, grace, and cultural richness. Alongside Kalina and the talented photographer Devansh Jhaveri, we created a book that documented the spirit of that year’s school — blending photographs, written insights, and original portraits of each dancer. Immersing myself in this world was one of the most profound, visceral experiences of my life — a true honour to witness and contribute to such an ancient, living tradition.

Brand Designer & Organiser for the annual World Dance Festival in Holland

Each summer for several years, I had the honour of being the brand artist for a major international dance festival in Amsterdam, led by the inspiring dancer and teacher Anuschka Valuwadiyan. I helped design the branding, promotional materials, and creative direction for the event, which brought together over a hundred of the world’s leading Arabic and belly dancers for a week of workshops and performances. I also exhibited original artworks inspired by the dancers themselves. These festivals were an unforgettable highlight of my summers, filled with deep cultural exchange, powerful creativity, and friendships with some of the most gifted women I’ve ever met.

ROHIT VERMA.png

Set & Brand designer for Sarv Atelier & Rohit Verma World Runway Fashion Show.

Early in my career, I had the chance to collaborate with rising fashion icon Rohit Verma for a major runway show at the ICC Centre in Birmingham. Introduced through a mutual friend, we instantly connected, and I was invited to create a motion art piece to complement his new fashion collection. My video installation was projected as part of the live catwalk experience, bringing a layer of visual storytelling to the show. It was an incredible opportunity to merge fashion and digital art, and to contribute creatively to an event curated by top-tier designers. A thrilling moment — and one I hope to revisit through future collaborations.

CHURCH.png

A Gift of art to a Church in Preston in exchange of cakes.

While exhibiting at the Best of Britannia show in my hometown of Preston, I had a chance encounter with a local priest from Penwortham. We spoke deeply about faith, art, and the role of creativity in community. Moved by the conversation, I visited his church, photographed it quietly, and began working on a personal gift — a montage artwork capturing the spirit of the entire church in a single composition. Two months later, during a Sunday service, I was invited with family and friends to unveil the piece. It was a simple yet profound moment, shared over tea and cake, filled with warmth and grace. The artwork remains in the church to this day — a quiet reminder of art’s ability to honour space, spirit, and human connection.

GROUP-ART.jpg

Art Designer for Britains got Talent - Flawless

Dancers.

Alongside my art, I worked as a graphic designer and brand developer for independent creatives. One of the most exciting collaborations was with Flawless — the iconic dance group featured on Britain’s Got Talent. They invited me to create artwork during their rise on the show, and over time I became their brand designer, crafting visuals, logos, and concepts to support both their commercial goals and creative vision. My close friendship with the group, especially with Marlon, led to a decade-long collaboration filled with energy, trust, and powerful visuals. It was an incredible experience to shape the identity of a group that inspired millions — and to blend art and movement in such a dynamic way.
