ORIGIN

ORIGIN

Jai Sol’s journey began in a working-class town in Northern England an environment shaped by resilience, resourcefulness, and a mix of cultures, beliefs, and lived experiences. Growing up in a place where people carried generations of struggle and strength, Jai developed a deep curiosity for human stories how people live, where they come from, what they carry, and what they create in response to their surroundings.

From an early age, Jai experienced the world intensely. His imagination was vast, uncontrollable at times, able to conjure infinite interpretations of a single moment. This inner world became both a sanctuary and a source of confusion. Struggling to connect with his family, friends, and even himself, he turned inward. He became an acute observer, studying expressions, energy and behaviours, trying to decode what others seemed to understand so naturally.

Art was never just a hobby. It was survival. It was how Jai made sense of what he saw and felt, but couldn’t yet articulate. He would sketch, write, imagine, and reimagine—creating private worlds where things made more sense. These early expressions weren’t for show—they were ways to process a reality that often felt fragmented and alienating.

As he grew older, Jai realised that his imagination, once overwhelming, was his gift. Through visual art, he could finally externalise the internal. At school, his artworks won awards, but more importantly, they allowed him to show others his world—a place of nuance, emotion, depth. Yet even then, he struggled to explain what he was creating. The art had to speak for itself. It became his first true language, one that transcended judgment, categories, or expectation.

Jai never followed a conventional path. Though he attended multiple universities and studied various disciplines—fine art, graphic design, stained glass, animation—he never stayed for the qualifications. He wasn’t interested in credentials; he was there to observe, question, and push boundaries. He spent years exploring digital art in its earliest forms, often staying late into the night at college, completely immersed in the study of how a single pixel could become something meaningful. Art wasn’t a subject—it was a spiritual pursuit, a tool for self-exploration and human understanding.

There were times when he stepped away from art entirely, years spent exploring life without the lens of creativity. But that disconnection only revealed how deeply ingrained it was in him. Without art, he felt hypnotised by the world, drawn into the noise of conformity and conditioning. So, he made a radical decision: to retreat, reflect, and rebuild. He spent over 16 years in near-isolation, creating thousands of works, refining his vision, and reawakening his connection to consciousness and creativity.

His origin story is not about institutions, accolades, or inherited talent. It’s about choosing to see differently. It’s about using art as a portal, a doorway into a deeper, more honest experience of being alive. For Jai, art is not decoration. It is dialogue. It is the language of emotion, energy, and imagination, his true way of communicating with the world.

''Growing up with learning differences like dyslexia, dysgraphia, and traits of autism, traditional forms of communication often felt limiting.''
EVOLUTION

EVOLUTION

Jai's evolution as an artist is a story shaped by personal struggle, curiosity, and a deep commitment to self-discovery. From the beginning, art wasn’t just something he enjoyed—it was something he needed. Growing up with learning differences like dyslexia, dysgraphia, and traits of autism, traditional forms of communication often felt limiting. He found it hard to express his thoughts through words, but art gave him a language that made sense. It became the one place where he didn’t feel restricted or misunderstood.

What started as a personal outlet slowly became something more powerful. Jai began to see that through his art, he could not only understand himself better, but also reach others who felt the same sense of disconnection. He learned how to turn challenges into creative tools, developing a way of seeing and interpreting the world that was entirely his own. His early work was raw, honest, and often emotionally intense—not designed to impress, but to express.

As his confidence grew, so did his ambition. Jai started exploring different styles, mediums, and methods, constantly pushing himself beyond what was familiar. He taught himself new techniques, experimented with digital platforms, collaborated with musicians, activists, and designers, and gradually found ways to bridge personal storytelling with broader cultural and social themes. His art began to carry more than just personal meaning—it became a response to the world around him.
Over the years, Jai has never allowed himself to get too comfortable. Whether working from a market stall or curating private shows in London and Manchester, he’s kept a mindset of growth and reinvention. He’s taken risks, made mistakes, started over, and stayed committed to creating work that feels real. That honesty has been key to his evolution not just as an artist, but as a human being.

What makes Jai’s journey unique is that it doesn’t follow a straight line. It’s a process of adapting, unlearning, listening, and starting again. He’s constantly evolving—not to fit in with trends, but to reflect where he’s at, what he’s learning, and what the world needs from artists right now. His work speaks to the ongoing nature of growth—that we are never fully ‘finished’, and that art can help us navigate who we are becoming.

''But real mastery lies in understanding the story, not just in how it’s told, but how it’s left open. It means creating something that others can step into, shape, and even complete in their way.''
MASTERY

MASTERY

Jai’s mastery doesn’t come from formal training or academic validation comes from years of personal exploration, hands-on experimentation, and a constant drive to do things differently. His strength lies in his ability to combine traditional artistic techniques with modern tools and technologies, building a visual language that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.

The same: explore the limits of the medium and find out what can be expressed through it that other formats might not allow.

This mindset has led to a process that’s become highly individual. He often merges analogue and digital methods to create work that is emotionally complex and technically developed. The result is art that invites people to engage more deeply, not just visually, but intellectually and emotionally.

Jai’s creative ability wasn’t shaped only by imagination. From an early age, he developed a sharp eye for quality, form, and composition. He paid close attention to colour, texture, and detail in everything from nature to everyday life. He didn’t just see things, he studied them. He noticed how different elements came together visually, and how stillness or movement could create a narrative. This way of seeing shaped how he builds images and stories.

He also spent a lot of time observing people how they behaved, how they interacted, what they revealed through expression and body language. This habit of observation became a foundation for his understanding of storytelling through art. Over time, Jai developed a strong interest in art history, not just through a Western lens, but across cultures. He was especially drawn to religious and spiritual art, where meaning is often layered through symbolism, pattern, and story. This helped him understand how abstract ideas could be communicated visually and how powerful art can be when it connects to something universal.

For Jai, mastery is not about being the best or having the most skill. It’s about being able to observe deeply and express something clearly. It’s about understanding what moves people, what resonates, and how to build work that invites others into that experience. He’s spent nearly 20 years studying, creating, and refining his process—exploring a wide range of mediums, researching how others create, and producing thousands of works.

But real mastery lies in understanding the story, not just in how it’s told, but how it’s left open. It means creating something that others can step into, shape, and even complete in their way. It’s knowing when to let go, allowing the work to live beyond the artist. Mastery is driven by ongoing curiosity, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. It’s the ability to translate what exists inside one person and communicate it to another in a way that moves them, teaches them, or makes them feel seen. And in turn, it’s about learning from them too. True mastery is found in the exchange—growing through creativity, staying open to what the world and people continue to reveal.

At its heart, Jai’s vision is about shifting perception. It’s about helping people realise that they already have the power to imagine, to create, and to reimagine their world, their beliefs, and their reality.
VISION

VISION

Jai’s vision is grounded in the belief that art is more than something to admire it’s a powerful tool for reflection, awareness, and transformation. At the heart of his work lies the idea that beauty isn’t just visual—it’s emotional, psychological, and spiritual. For Jai, art is a form of language that can help people make sense of their lives and the world around them.

Jai’s vision is both deeply personal and unapologetically public. His work is not about showing what he thinks or knows, it’s about the continuous process of understanding what he is experiencing and expressing that honestly through his art. He has always challenged himself to explore perception, behaviour, belief, and culture in raw, real terms. His approach is rooted in openness to observe, to participate, and to question. He positions himself as a conduit for culture — someone who reflects it, interacts with it, and reframes it through art.

At the core of his vision is the belief that imagination is not a luxury — it’s a key to unlocking reality. Jai wants people to see that how they think, what they believe, and how they behave is often based on inherited programming. Through his visual language, he aims to offer clues and not answers that might wake people up to the idea that this programming is learned, constructed, and can be deconstructed. His work hints at the possibility of alternative realities, not through escape, but through intuition, reflection, and honest internal questioning. What he creates isn’t about pushing a single truth it’s about helping others access their own.

Jai is deliberately uninterested in traditional structures. He’s tired of gallery systems, tired of the same artists being elevated by the same committees, and tired of art being turned into a product that feeds a corporate machine. He sees the art world as hijacked, manipulated by marketing, ruled by gatekeepers, and disconnected from the people it claims to represent. His vision is to reclaim that space to open up art so it becomes a direct line between the creator and the viewer, not a hierarchy of access and approval.

Now, in a time where digital tools give us unprecedented freedom, Jai wants to explore new modes of storytelling using projection, augmented reality, virtual environments, and collaborations with AI. His vision for the future of art is immersive, expansive, and grounded in something very real. He wants to create digital experiences that reconnect people to nature, not distract them from it. Nature remains the centre of his work  the thread that runs through both his physical and virtual explorations.

This commitment flows directly into 101 Creation, his long-standing body of work that brings together nearly two decades of thought, writing, and teaching. First developed after exhibiting to over 10,000 people across the UK and internationally, Jai created 101 Creation: 101 Ways to See Art As Your Life as both a philosophy and a toolkit. It’s not just a book, it’s a framework to help people see the art in their own lives. From this, he developed The 101 Creation Experience, a live, interactive space where people can connect directly with the art, with the artist, and with themselves.

At its heart, Jai’s vision is about shifting perception. It’s about helping people realise that they already have the power to imagine, to create, and to reimagine their world, their beliefs, and their reality. And once that shift happens, life opens up. Possibilities multiply. It becomes a shared space, no longer defined by limits, norms, or institutions. This is not a solo pursuit; it’s a collaborative movement. His goal is to bring people together, to open up new worlds, and to transcend the narrow definitions of what art has been told it is.

''His journey began with humble beginnings, displaying his art at local temples, churches, care homes, market stalls, and labour clubs throughout Lancashire. These early interactions with the community were not only about sharing his creativity but also about forging genuine connections with everyday people.''
CONNECTION

CONNECTION

Jai’s path as an artist has always been rooted in a deep, human connection to those around him, whether that be everyday people or the global art community. His journey of sharing his art began in the most organic and intimate settings, with Jai creating artwork for local communities and individual patrons. From a young age, Jai felt that art should be more than a solitary experience, a shared, communicative process that brings people together, transcending cultural boundaries and personal backgrounds.

Jai Sol’s connection with art has always been about more than just showcasing his work; it’s about creating meaningful experiences and engaging deeply with those who encounter it. His journey began with humble beginnings, displaying his art at local temples, churches, care homes, market stalls, and labour clubs throughout Lancashire. These early interactions with the community were not only about sharing his creativity but also about forging genuine connections with everyday people. Through these grassroots exhibitions, Jai cultivated a sense of inclusivity and personal engagement with his work.

As his career progressed, Jai’s art reached a broader audience. His work was showcased in front of royalty, including the Royal Family, the Prime Minister of India, and Prince Charles at private events. On a grander scale, his art was featured at Wembley Stadium, displayed to 90,000 people and 2.3 billion viewers worldwide, and projected at major fashion shows, spiritual events, and festivals across Europe and South Asia. These opportunities marked significant milestones in Jai’s journey, yet he never lost sight of the personal connection art could offer.

In 2019, Jai opened his first gallery in Manchester after years of exhibiting across England, Europe, and South Asia. The gallery quickly became a hub for intimate, curated experiences. Jai hosted private viewings and dinners with Michelin-star chefs, where the culinary creations echoed the themes in his art, providing guests with a sensory journey that combined both food and visual storytelling. The space also served as a sanctuary for reflection, hosting meditation sessions and art projections that enhanced the emotional experience of his work.

Jai’s Manchester gallery wasn’t just a space for viewing art it also doubled as a studio for other artists. It became a creative incubator, where new ideas were born, and collaboration flourished. For three years, this gallery allowed Jai to engage intimately with a select community of patrons, collectors, and collaborators in Manchester.

Building on this success, Jai opened a second gallery in Soho, London, in 2020. This new location became an exclusive space for high-net-worth entrepreneurs, celebrities, and art collectors to engage with Jai’s work in a more private setting. Through exhibitions and curated experiences, Jai continued to blend art with personal engagement, offering a space where the art itself became a means to forge deeper connections and conversations.

While both galleries have since closed, their impact on Jai’s artistic evolution and his ability to connect with audiences continues to shape his journey. His focus now shifts toward a new direction, but the foundation of connection through art remains at the heart of everything Jai creates.

Jai’s legacy isn’t just about the pieces he’s created, but the people he’s
impacted along the way.
LEGACY

LEGACY

At the core of Jai Sol’s legacy is his strong belief that art should be accessible to everyone. His work is an honest representation of life’s rawness and beauty, created not just for galleries, but for people, communities, and movements often overlooked. Jai’s creative approach has inspired a new generation of artists to share their personal stories and use their work to connect with others. His commitment to self-expression as a tool for empowerment has encouraged creatives to break free from conventional expectations, pushing them to innovate and use their art to make a difference.

Through projects like Real Divine, Jai demonstrated that art’s real value isn’t in fame or money, but in its power to touch lives and ignite change, whether on a small or large scale. By working with marginalised communities and using art to uplift others, he has become a force for social good. His work proves that art can be both deeply personal and universal, reflecting the artist’s journey while also connecting with the broader human experience. Jai’s legacy isn’t just about the pieces he’s created, but the people he’s impacted along the way.

Jai’s willingness to experiment with different media and techniques has allowed his work to remain relevant in the ever-changing world of contemporary art. His journey from a self-taught artist to an internationally recognised figure highlights the power of passion, persistence, and staying true to one’s vision. Jai has shown that success isn’t about following trends, but about pushing boundaries and creating work that challenges, inspires, and endures.

In the end, Jai Sol’s legacy is found in the lasting impact of his art. His work continues to offer a space for reflection, healing, and understanding. It stands as a testament to his belief that when art is created with authenticity and purpose, it has the power to change not only how we see the world but also how we experience it. Through his unique perspective, Jai has laid the foundation for the idea that art is not just for a select few; it belongs to everyone, inviting all to explore, question, and connect.
