Art on Screens
How exciting would it be if we could see art that moves — art we could experience beyond a flat, two-dimensional surface?
As much as I create artwork imbued with depth, perspective, and detail, with elements that invite the viewer into the artist’s world, I’m inspired by the potential of translating my creations into moving, changing, and evolving forms on screens of all sizes.
The beauty of presenting art with narrative and depth on anything from small devices to vast screens is that it can become a true portal — a window into another reality for people to step into and absorb. Over time, this could even lead to interactive experiences, where art responds to movement, words, language, or even the viewer’s own energy.
Art That’s Alive
When I imagine my art before creating it, it is always alive. I see it from all directions, hear it, smell it — a full sensory experience long before it takes shape as a two-dimensional piece.
In the transition to a still image, some of the original energy and intensity is inevitably lost. Now, with new visual technologies, we have the opportunity to create living, breathing entities that match the uniqueness and richness of the visions in my mind.
My ambition is to integrate my stories into digital or live characters that exist within immersive environments connected to my artworks. Imagine walking into a room and meeting the characters from my paintings — speaking with them, asking them questions, sharing a laugh — before they guide you to other spaces where you not only see the art but interact with it. This could be through conversation, gesture, or simply by your presence in front of a camera, allowing you to become part of the virtual world.
Art As Augmented
How incredible would it be to look at the world through your phone or tablet and see new layers of art appear — objects, characters, or entire scenes that don’t physically exist but feel like they’re right there in front of you?
Augmented art allows this. Your device becomes the “converter,” showing a live view of reality with digitally placed elements that transform the experience.
The opportunities here are endless, especially if we can expand the experience beyond just looking through a phone. Many of my projects are created with this in mind — with characters, themes, and stories so compelling that, when experienced through augmented reality, you’re not simply viewing the art but stepping into a fully realised story world. Psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually, the viewer is already immersed before the augmentation begins — the technology simply becomes a vehicle for deeper connection. My goal is to explore how these stories and themes can be brought to life globally through live exhibitions, seminars, and events, all enhanced by augmented reality.
Jai's vision is to host virtual experiences, inviting people to step into his art, to feel its beauty, and become part of the story, envirnment & creative process itself.
Several of my projects are already being developed with these ideas in mind, but I’m seeking the right team to bring them fully to life. I’m looking to connect with production companies, animators, immersive technology specialists, and investors who can help transform these stories into projections, interactive installations, augmented experiences, and live narrative worlds.
